2022 BMW X5 M Competition – Stage 2 Performance Build

Combining the versatility of a luxury SUV with serious M performance, this 2022 BMW X5 M Competition is finished in Carbon Black Metallic, protected by XPEL Stealth satin paint-protection film, over a Black Full Merino leather interior. This example is extensively upgraded with a Stage 2 ECU calibration, Dinan carbon-fiber intake, Meisterschaft exhaust, BC Forged wheels, MSS lowering springs, and several distinctive exterior and interior enhancements.

At the heart of the X5 M Competition is BMW's S63 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, factory rated at 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque in stock configuration.

This example features a custom Stage 2 ECU tune along with a Dinan carbon-fiber engine air intake, secondary downpipes, and Meisterschaft cat-back exhaust system. These modifications are designed to increase performance and improve airflow and exhaust characteristics beyond the factory configuration.

Power is delivered through an eight-speed automatic transmission and BMW's performance-oriented M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, providing the traction and power distribution required for the X5 M's high-output V8.

The chassis is enhanced with MSS lowering springs, giving the SUV a more aggressive stance while complementing its M-tuned suspension setup.

This example rides on striking 22-inch BC Forged wheels with a custom powder-coated finish. Braking is handled by BMW's high-performance M Compound braking system.

The Carbon Black Metallic exterior is covered with XPEL Stealth satin paint-protection film, transforming the factory metallic finish into a distinctive satin appearance while providing an additional layer of protection.

Additional exterior customization includes a gloss-black roof wrap, smoked STEK film over the headlights and taillights, smoked front reflectors, black-and-white BMW emblems, and a contrasting white X5 M rear badge.

A 2-inch Class III receiver hitch adds additional utility.
