2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Xtreme Recon – RubiTrux / Petty’s Garage Build

This highly upgraded 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Xtreme Recon combines the naturally aspirated power of Jeep's 6.4-liter HEMI V8 with extensive professionally installed performance and off-road modifications. Finished in Sting-Gray over a Black leather interior, this Rubicon 392 was extensively modified by RubiTrux with components from AEV, TeraFlex, Petty's Garage, BC Forged, Warn, Borla, Rock Slide Engineering, and other premium manufacturers.

At the heart of the build is the 6.4-liter HEMI V8, enhanced with a Petty's Garage Stage 1 performance package. The upgrade incorporates a performance camshaft, revised cylinder heads, and a custom engine calibration for increased performance beyond the standard Rubicon 392 configuration.

Additional powertrain enhancements include a Petty's Garage oil catch can and a Borla S-Type cat-back performance exhaust, giving the naturally aspirated V8 a more aggressive exhaust character.

Adding a unique touch to the build, the engine features a Richard Petty signature.

Power is routed through an eight-speed automatic transmission and Jeep's Selec-Trac four-wheel-drive system. Heavy-duty Tru-Lok locking axles provide additional traction for demanding off-road conditions.

The suspension has been extensively upgraded with an AEV 2.5-inch DualSport suspension lift, complemented by TeraFlex front and rear spacers.

TeraFlex Falcon performance shocks and a Falcon steering stabilizer further enhance suspension and steering control, particularly with the larger wheel-and-tire combination.

The Wrangler retains its factory electronic front sway-bar disconnect, providing additional suspension articulation when traveling off pavement.

The truck rides on premium 20-inch two-piece BC Forged MLE72 wheels secured with titanium lug nuts and wrapped in massive 37x12.5-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires, giving the Wrangler a commanding stance.

Up front, an AEV heavy-duty bumper and Warn winch significantly enhance recovery capability. Additional exterior upgrades include Rock Slide Engineering power running boards, Rugged Ridge aluminum hood latches, Rigid Industries auxiliary LED lighting, and Morimoto clear LED side markers.

The Sting-Gray exterior also features body-color wheel-arch extensions, a Satin Black grille, and a durable Corning Gorilla Glass windshield.

The bodywork has been protected with paint-protection film and ceramic coating.

One of the Wrangler's standout features is the Sky One-Touch power-retractable roof, providing open-air driving at the touch of a button.

A matching set of Sting-Gray factory-specification half doors further expands the Wrangler's open-air configuration possibilities.

Inside, the cabin features Black leather upholstery with heated and power-adjustable front bucket seats and a folding rear bench.

A heated steering wheel, remote-proximity keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, and a ParkView backup camera provide additional comfort and convenience.

The cabin also features Bartact paracord rear grab handles and 67 Designs dashboard mounting hardware.

Infotainment is handled by the Uconnect 4C system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, incorporating navigation and smartphone integration.
